    The US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends the Pfizer and Moderna COVID-19 vaccines for everyone aged 6 months and older and the Novavax COVID-19 vaccine for individuals aged 12 and older, including pregnant women and people with compromised immune systems.

    The Mecklenburg County COVID-19 Recovery and Renewal Task Force has released recommended actions for community recovery and renewal from the continuing impacts of COVID-19. The task force recommends implementation of more than fifty strategies and specific actions within the areas of Health, Economy and Community.

    The Mecklenburg County Fire Marshal's Office provides a variety of administrative and field based public safety services for the Towns of Pineville, Matthews, Mint Hill, Huntersville, Cornelius and Davidson, their unincorporated areas, and the Charlotte ETJ, which consists of Steele Creek, West Mecklenburg, Cooks, Long Creek, Carolina and Robinson Fire Protection Districts.

    All areas within City of Charlotte limits are protected and serviced by the Charlotte Fire Department.

    The Fire Marshal's Office conducts new construction and recurring code mandated fire inspections for all occupancies, except for single and two-family residential dwellings.

    The Mecklenburg County Fire Marshal's Office is the designated agency authorized to conduct fire and/or explosion origin and cause investigations within Mecklenburg County jurisdiction, and services the towns of Pineville, Matthews, Mint Hill, Huntersville, Cornelius, and Davidson.

    We also provide investigation services in the Charlotte ETJ, (Extraterritorial Jurisdiction), which consists of the Steele Creek, West Mecklenburg, Long Creek, Cooks, Robinson, and Carolina Fire Protection Districts.
